About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our team in Bracknell, where you will lead and support our community nurses. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that care in your locality is based on sound assessment and care planning processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that appropriate Statutory and mandatory training has been undertaken by all team members.
  • Responsible for the retention and recruitment, induction, personal and professional development of staff.
  • Monitor clinical supervision, induction, preceptorship, and development of staff.
  • Exercise leadership and judgment in the management of a Community Nursing Team to ensure good clinical practice and maintain high standards of care, and review staff practice at regular intervals.
  • Provide educational opportunities and training for all staff and students including pre- and post-registration nursing students.
  • Develop district nursing practice in a defined area, developing and using relationships with other primary care team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC registered Nurse.
  • Specialist Community Practice qualification relevant to the field of practice (DN Degree, diploma or Certificate in District Nursing) Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Advanced History taking and Non-Medical Prescriber Qualification or willing to undertake within 2 years in post (V300).
Previous Experience

We are looking for someone with experience in teaching and assessing both pre and post-registration nursing, as well as acting as a clinical expert in the field of community nursing. You will also need to have developed strong interpersonal relationships, ensuring that staff are given the opportunity to develop and grow into roles; promoting succession planning to meet the needs of the service.

Additional Requirements

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
