As a key member of the Digital Development team at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, you will contribute to the definition, implementation, and delivery of all Bloomsbury Digital Resources across various divisions. This role will build on the success of our existing digital resources, which have received accolades for their quality and usability.

The UX Designer will help develop evidence-based design practices, enabling short- and long-term innovation in our platform development. You will collaborate closely with the Product Management and Technology teams to develop, evaluate, and iterate the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user experience research and analysis to understand user journeys and needs
  • Translate findings into clear and prioritized business requirements for continuous improvement
  • Produce designs for usability testing, internal discussion, presentations to stakeholders, and delivery, encompassing interface design within a tested and established design language
  • Ensure platforms comply with accessibility standards
  • Identify improvements to the team's processes and workflow

Requirements:

  • A proactive attitude with a keen curiosity and willingness to learn
  • An excellent eye for detail and nuance, with a logical problem-solving approach
  • Demonstrated experience in user experience work
  • Cross-functional team collaboration, including stakeholder management
  • Ability to understand the specific needs of a varied user base

Additional Information:

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary pay point of up to £40,000 depending on experience. The role is based at our London office on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office-based and 3 days home-based.
