We are a world-renowned hospitality company, Marriott International, seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our award-winning kitchen brigade at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.

Salary

A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus free meals whilst on duty.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading their section in the kitchen, ensuring it is fully prepared for service times while controlling other chefs working on it.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least 3 year's experience within a rosette standard kitchen environment, including banqueting experience. You will need to have:

  • Experience with banqueting volume
  • Knowledge of classic food preparations, dishes, and cooking
  • Experience in British cuisine
  • Experience in working in a multi-outlet kitchen operation
  • Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards
  • Able to assess quality control and adhere to service standards
  • Lead and support junior members of the team
  • Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline
  • Seek solutions to minor obstacles
  • Project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
