Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Train Driver to join our team in the LNW/West Midlands region. As a key player in our Freight services, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains. You will work closely with our rostering and training teams, driver standards managers, delivery managers, and staff at all levels to achieve this goal.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various locomotives, from our class 37s to state-of-the-art class 70s. You will be empowered to make decisions and take ownership of your work, ensuring that our freight services run safely and on time.

Person Specification
  • Train Driver experience with existing LNW and/or West Midlands route knowledge.
  • Ensure the safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
  • A clean safety record.
  • A current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility with working shift patterns.
  • Ability to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards, and safety procedures and maintain same by audit and surveillance.
