Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Airedale International Air Conditioning Ltd. As a key member of our projects team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative thermal management solutions to our global clients.

Job Summary

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned technical and engineering projects. This will include on-site supervision of works, management of sub-contractors, and ensuring strict adherence to H&S standards. You will also be responsible for site surveys, progress reviews, and liaising with customers and project engineers/managers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and coordinate project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  2. Supervise on-site works, manage sub-contractors, and ensure compliance with H&S standards.
  3. Conduct site surveys and progress reviews to ensure projects are on track.
  4. Liaise with customers and project engineers/managers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  5. Resolve any problems or issues that may arise during project execution.
  6. Provide reports detailing project improvements for greater quality and profitability.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve site issues.
  8. Update customers on commissioning works progress.
  9. Maintain a high standard of quality control across the department.
  10. Deliver assigned workload on time and to a high standard.
  11. Maintain brand reputation.
Requirements
  1. Experience in HVAC/BMS/Engineering projects environment, either on-site or in an office support role.
  2. Competent electrical knowledge and ability to understand electrical drawings.
  3. Competent HVAC and/or BMS knowledge, capable of understanding engineered systems to a high level.
  4. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified or willing to undertake.
  5. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, potentially on multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Good written and communication skills, including report writing.
  7. CSCS or equivalent held (or willing to undertake).
  8. Awareness of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP).
  9. Knowledge of IT systems, servers, and communication networks.
  10. Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 & AX software and controllers.
  11. SSSTS/SMSTS.
