About Midland Heart

Midland Heart is a leading social housing landlord that provides high-quality and cost-effective maintenance services to its tenants.

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage and oversee the delivery of our contracted repairs, void, and special project works.

The successful candidate will have a relevant HNC in Quantity Surveying or Management Accounting and commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets and expenditure robustly and in line with Midland Heart's financial controls.
  • Oversee the delivery of mid-value contracts using keen attention to detail and knowledge of quantity surveying.
  • Work closely with Operations Managers and Heads of Service to review budgets and expenditure.

Requirements

  • A relevant HNC and demonstratable commercial experience and knowledge of Quantity Surveying or Management Accounting.
  • Experience with construction or maintenance works.
  • Experience of managing and procuring for high-value contracts, with a working knowledge of relevant contract management and procurement legislation.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including a pension scheme and opportunities for career development.
