We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our property team at EG On The Move, a leading company in the industry.
As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for a portfolio of sites, working closely with our team to obtain planning consents for various developments, including new roadside services and mixed-use projects.
You will instruct and liaise with consultants of various disciplines to promote development through the planning process and post-planning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning Review - Coordinate with our Acquisitions team and Project Managers to ensure timely progress.
- Site Assessments - Conduct thorough policy analysis, planning history, and material considerations to determine the developability of sites.
- Planning Advice - Provide expert guidance to our business on emerging planning policies.
- Kick-Off Meetings - Facilitate initial meetings to set project direction.
- Consultant Team Management - Advise on suitable consultant firms and disciplines.
- Planning Issues - Identify and follow up on specific planning issues with consultants and Project Managers.
- In-House Planning Applications - Manage planning applications, if applicable.
- Planning Meetings - Attend committee meetings and review draft planning conditions.
- Condition Discharge - Manage the submission and discharge of conditions.
- Enforcement - Oversee in-house enforcement management.
- Graduate Planner Development - Coach and develop our Graduate Planner to maximize their performance.
- Appeals - Manage the appeal process.
- S.73 Applications - Submit and manage S.73 applications.
- Consultant Framework Reviews - Conduct reviews of consultant frameworks.
Candidate Requirements:
- Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
- Strong organizational skills
