SHE Advisor

Job Title: SHE Advisor - Operations

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Salary: Starting from £40,748 + depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with key stakeholders to ensure safe delivery of boat builds through risk assessments and targeted assurance assessments.
• Provide timely and consistent advice, support, coaching, and governance of SHE (Operations) standards and legislation.
• Support the development and embedding of a robust assurance programme within the Submarines business.
• Conduct audits and investigations, producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis.
• Support and lead key risk reduction and improvement projects.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Safety Management (NEBOSH) certification
• Knowledge of safety management and safety risk assessment
• Ability to interpret and apply formal Regulations, best practice, and guidance
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder interaction, report writing, and investigative skills
• Experience of driving a positive safety culture
