Assistant Site Manager / Site Engineer

Opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager / Site Engineer to join a reputable company specializing in Civil Engineering & Groundworks in Projects across Devon & Cornwall.

On offer is the chance to work for a company that has built a great reputation and grown impressively over the years, now enjoying a strong market share in their specialist sector.

Due to a number of new sites starting and an increase in workload, the company is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join the existing team. Projects vary and can include residential developments, roads & infrastructure, retaining walls and bulk excavation and surfacing.

As the Assistant Site Manager, you will support the existing Site Manager to help oversee and deliver multiple projects up to £3m, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Daily Duties:

  • Supporting the site team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Providing administrative and technical duties, including site supervision, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assisting in preparing and submitting project reports to the Site Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Providing technical assistance and support to the site team.
  • Assisting in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Helping in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

Due to the nature of the projects, it is also essential that you have a driving license as travel between sites is essential, as well as the following:

  • Degree qualified (industry relevant degree) or equivalent.
  • SSSTS/ SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid at Work.
