About the Role
Mitie at MOD Corsham is seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Manager to lead our onsite Driver team and ensure the effective management of our fleet and transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership and guidance to the Driver team, ensuring consistent application of department standards and processes.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and driver scheduling.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of transportation operations with other business functions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, laws, and company policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a dynamic transportation office with solid knowledge of transportation compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence (no points or convictions) and willingness to participate in training for PSV and HGV licences.
- Desirable qualifications include NEBOSH/IOSH certifications, experience using a tachograph, and experience driving mini-buses.
