The Role: Maintenance Supervisor - Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Staines

Salary: £45k-£55k



Our client is an innovator in the environmental sector who is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support the maintenance function for this site. This is a pivotal role, providing a proactive and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service.



The Role of a Maintenance Supervisor

1. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of maintenance fitters responsible for the planned and reactive mechanical maintenance of the Recycling Processing Plant.

2. You will be responsible for planning the scheduling of preventative maintenance and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

3. You will ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority, limiting downtime of the production facility.



The Successful Maintenance Supervisor

1. The successful candidate will have a relevant mechanical maintenance background, educated to a minimum of HND in an engineering discipline and/or time-served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post-qualifying.

2. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will have experience working in manufacturing, waste management, or with heavy plant machinery.

3. You will have previous experience of leading and managing maintenance teams.

4. Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures.

5. A proven history of fault finding and implementation of corrective actions.
