Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Littleborough. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide specialised 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs, specifically those experiencing challenging behaviour, ADHD, and autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individual Support: Deliver personalised support to children with SEN, ensuring they are engaged and making progress in their learning.
- Behaviour Management: Employ effective behaviour management strategies to help children navigate their emotions and interactions.
- Classroom Collaboration: Work closely with the classroom teacher to modify lesson plans and learning materials.
- Outdoor Supervision: Provide supervision and support during outdoor activities and breaks.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
- Team Collaboration: Engage with fellow teaching assistants and other professionals to create a cohesive support system for students.
- Safeguarding Practices: Uphold and promote safeguarding policies.
Contract/Position Details:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of Work: Long Term Temporary
- Contract Type: Contract
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £90+ per day
- Hours: 8:20 AM - 15:45 PM
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
- Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a UK school setting or with children of a similar age group, particularly those with SEN.
- Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training is desirable.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate.
- Provide two professional references related to childcare.
