Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 learner with Autism in a full-time, long-term position. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life and become part of a friendly, welcoming school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the learner, addressing their physical, emotional, and academic needs.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and Pastoral team to share observations and develop strategies for the learner's growth.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and children regarding any concerns or issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and respond accordingly to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Report health and safety issues to the maintenance team and use school systems to raise concerns.

  • Knowledge of SEN Needs and an understanding of how learning may be adapted for children with additional needs.
