CK Group is recruiting for a Environmental Scientist to join their client, an independent consultancy in damage assessment and business recovery, based in Sheffield.
- This permanent role offers a salary of £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes travel opportunities with a full driving licence required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing test samples using various scientific methods, including gravimetric moisture testing, ion chromatography, FT-Infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and DNA sequencing of biological samples.
- Key tasks include collating analysis data, preparing technical reports, carrying out site inspections, and conducting environmental test sampling.
- A strong academic background in chemistry or environmental science, accompanied by 3+ years of experience in collecting, analysing, and interpreting environmental samples.
- The ideal candidate should be organised, diligent, and able to record and report information accurately.
- A process-driven individual with stringent scientific methodology skills is essential for this role.
- Analytical thinking, combined with experience in field and/or laboratory testing methodologies, is highly desirable.
