Manufacturing Manager Job Description

Major Talent is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join an established FMCG business located near Uttoxeter. As part of the ongoing growth plan, this role will be an integral part of the Leadership Team, fully site-based.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee complete production operations, ensuring quality control, staff management, and monitoring production schedules.
  • Optimise production processes, lead through direct reports and their teams, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure product is made to specification, and Health & Safety rules are always followed.
  • Hold daily reviews (KPI driven) within the department, focusing on improvement and plan conformance.
  • Liaise with the production planner to plan/deliver the most efficient production plan.
  • Set Team leaders objectives, hold reviews, and coach to success or hold to account.
  • Manage and control WIP, recommending and implementing process improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the FMCG sector in a previous position.
  • IOSH certificate preferred, but commitment to undertake if not already achieved.
  • Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety but commitment to undertake if not already achieved.
  • CI yellow belt preferred, but commitment to undertake if not already achieved.
  • Clear evidence of driving sustainable change at shift level in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
  • Clear evidence of driving performance improvement through engaged teams at shift level.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive base salary starting at 56,000.
  • Working hours days 3 on 3 off 7am - 7pm.
