Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our dynamic secondary school in Blackburn. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide tailored support and help individuals overcome social emotional behaviour difficulties.

About the Role

  • You will assist in developing and implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes for students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and support teams to ensure effective use of behaviour management techniques.
  • Work closely with parents to establish strong communication channels and facilitate their involvement in supporting student progress.
  • Engage with students on an individual or group basis to enhance self-esteem, confidence, and personal skills.
  • Monitor progress and maintain improvements in behaviour over time.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates a patient and empathetic approach when working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
