About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex structuring projects from a legal, regulatory, operational, and project management perspective.
  • Lead client conversions for investments in traditional commingled funds.
  • Design, form, and negotiate customized separate accounts for leading international, institutional investors.
  • Draft and/or review documentation relating to various fund structures.
  • Assume responsibility and ownership for select funds and separate accounts, including maintenance and related processes and procedures.
  • Develop skills and general Partners Group knowledge, particularly relating to Structuring service catalogue and relevant interfaces with operational teams.
  • Research legal and regulatory considerations relevant to specific clients, products, and jurisdictions.
  • Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers.
Requirements
  • A qualified lawyer with 5-8 years of relevant work experience at a top law firm, bank, or asset manager (preferably focused on private markets investments).
  • Familiarity with latest regulatory developments shaping the private markets industry, in particular Europe.
  • Experience with different fund structures and other innovative structures is preferable.
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex topics with both internal and external parties.
  • Knowledge of global fund jurisdictions, including Luxembourg, Delaware, and Cayman Islands, and fund structures for private equity, private real estate, private debt, and private infrastructure which may include limited partnerships, LLCs, corporate entities, trusts, REITs, rated note funds, etc.
  • Able to consider varying tax considerations in determining appropriate fund structures.
  • Able to manage external counsel and meet ambitious fund formation timelines.
  • The ability to work with a successful sales team on new fund strategies.
