Logistics Coordinator

Chemring Energetics UK Ltd is a leading global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence, and key commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare short to long-term production plans to ensure customer demand, service levels, manufacturing efficiencies, and inventory objectives are met.
- Review and agree/accept new sales orders/project requirements based upon material, plant, and resource availability.
- Manage finished goods inventory in line with stocking policies, identifying any sales that are at risk of being delivered late.
- Highlight any risk to the production plan/customer orders/project requirements associated with material, resource, or plant shortfall.
- Input and maintain planning information within the company's ERP System.
- Highlight demand and capacity imbalances which are not resolvable within the standard capacity offered and ensure that the Planning Manager and Production Manager are aware.
- Continually seek out opportunities for improvement within operations to deliver improved business results and elimination of financial waste within the business.
- IT Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint etc
- ~ 3 years+ experience in a production or material planning environment
- ~ Commercial & financial awareness
- Epicor software knowledge
- Must have personal commitment to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
- The ability to build and develop effective relationships and use these to improve performance.
- Knowledge of the principles of company policy and operating procedures in order to ensure site and company compliance.
