About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in Signalling and Telecoms Maintenance. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, performing manual, electrical, and digital maintenance tasks on signalling equipment, level crossings, and points systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical skills across a range of disciplines, including inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver safe and efficient work, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and operatives to provide essential support and guidance.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical and non-technical skills.
Requirements
  • Hold an IRSE license and ideally hold an NVQ Level 1 or 2 linked to the discipline.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent level of experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Please note that this role may require working on call and driving Network Rail vehicles. A 60-minute commute to the location is also required.
