Strategic Commercial Agreement Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in our Biotechnology segment, working closely with dedicated technical experts to develop next-generation therapeutics.
About the JobAs a Contracts and Negotiation Manager, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial customer agreements. This includes sales contracts, amendments, reseller agreements, pricing agreements, contract renewals, and customer requests for proposal.
You will interpret business issues, recommend innovative solutions, and assess initiatives to improve contracting processes and tools. Additionally, you will train and advise commercial teams on agreement structure, templates, risks, and alternatives.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You must possess a law degree, with 2+ years of experience in commercial contract review, redlining, and drafting, including local, regional, and global agreements.
A strong understanding of contract negotiations and external client engagement is essential, as well as advanced writing and communication skills. Fluency in German is required, while proficiency in English is expected.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently, with guidance provided only in complex situations. You will also provide training, mentorship, and support to other contracts team members.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, edit, and negotiate commercial customer agreements
- Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend innovative solutions
- Train and advise commercial teams on agreement structure, templates, risks, and alternatives
- Ensure compliance to the contracts approval policy and other company policies
- Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Provide training, mentorship, and 2nd-tier support to other contracts team members
- Possess a law degree
- Have 2+ years experience with commercial contract review, redlining, and drafting, including local, regional, and global agreements
- Have 2+ years experience with contract negotiations and external client engagement
- Demonstrable experience using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative contract solutions
- Possess advanced writing and communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail; English language fluency
- Fluent in German is a must
