Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Design Engineer Lead to join our team in Guaynabo, PR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver engineering solutions, leading design project teams, and conducting quality control checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver engineering solutions.
  • Lead the design project team, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing project assignments.
  • Conduct quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations, and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep abreast of state-of-the-art methods and developments in the area of specialization.
  • Recommend changes or improvements to plans and programs.
  • May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects, responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination, and resources allocation.
  • Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations, local and federal, as applicable.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and communications skills are expected at this level, proven through technical presentations, technical papers, and/or participation in technical committees.
  • P.E. license as a registered engineer in Puerto Rico, is required.
