We seek a highly skilled UX Designer to join our Software Engineering team, developing sophisticated technical software used in academia and industry to drive scientific breakthroughs.

This role is ideal for someone with:

  • A background in user experience design looking to develop their skills on complex technical products.
  • A preference for working in a large team of designers, developers, and testers (45 people) in a highly technical environment.
  • An interest in desktop development and instrument control, rather than web or cloud development.
  • The ability to work closely with multiple teams to deliver functionality on time.
  • Excellent design principles and a keen interest in UI trends to maintain our best-in-class status.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of UX and UI design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, based on national averages and industry standards.
