Animal Trainer and Keeper

We are seeking an Animal Trainer and Keeper to join our Presentations team at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
You will be responsible for the daily care and welfare of our animals, including feeding, cleaning, and providing enrichment activities.
Duties also include developing and implementing animal training programs, as well as delivering educational talks and presentations to our visitors.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement animal training programs
- Deliver educational talks and presentations
- Contribute to the overall success of the Presentations team
- A minimum of three years' experience working in a zoo environment
- Demonstrable skills in animal training and behavior modification
- Excellent time management and good organisational skills
- DMZAA or equivalent qualification would be desirable
- Experience in the training of free flight Birds is preferable
- Experience in the training of Marine Mammals is preferable
- A good understanding and experience in working with a broad range of taxa
- Ability to stay focused and in control under pressure
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Experience in delivering animal talks and demonstrations
- An estimated annual salary of £25,000
