About the Role:

Oyster Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Care Services to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home, Furze Field Manor. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor the delivery of care to residents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff, including inductions, performance management, and staff development plans.
  • Oversee the financial management of the care home, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to promote the care home and attract new residents.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and local authorities to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of care professionals, including nurses, carers, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the care home.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the care sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the National Care Standards.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the care home and its residents.
