Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Change bed linens and make beds as required to ensure resident comfort and hygiene.
  • Clean floors, windows, furniture, and other surfaces to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a safe environment.
  • Disinfect high-touch areas, such as door handles, light switches, and railings, to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Ensure laundry is completed and folded, including residents' clothing and bedding, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate staff to ensure prompt attention and resolution.
  • Assist with the storage and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked and organized facility.
  • Follow all infection control and health safety guidelines to protect residents and staff from harm.
Qualifications:
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or elderly care setting, is essential for this role.
  • A strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness is necessary to maintain our high standards.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this position.
  • Good communication skills and a compassionate, patient attitude are required to interact with residents and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is necessary to perform duties effectively.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move items as required is essential for this role.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following health and safety protocols is vital for protecting residents and staff.
Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per annumBenefits:
