We are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Director to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd, a leading accountancy recruitment firm in the UK. As an Audit & Accounts Director, you will be responsible for leading audits, financial reporting, and internal control reviews for clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop audit scope and plans, working closely with internal auditors and other specialists
  • Lead audits, financial reporting, and internal control reviews for clients across a range of sectors
  • Provide business and compliance advice to clients, supporting managers with complex client issues
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of juniors, ensuring the continued growth of the audit team
  • Represent the firm at audit committees, shareholder meetings, and AGMs
  • Lead a team of audit and assurance staff, managing resource allocation, compliance, and performance
  • Ensure billing completeness, statutory deadline adherence, and the correct application of accounting standards
  • Support financial metrics for client wins, RPH, and overrun recoveries
