Building Surveyor Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor Team Leader to join our Project & Programme Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of commissions and/or projects, including governance, fee management activities, internal job costings, and resource requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial aspects of commissions and/or projects, including governance, fee management activities, internal job costings, and resource requirements.
- Manage the client relationship and service delivery on a project basis in conjunction with other colleagues.
- Take the lead in setting the pace and monitoring all work executed to ensure an accurate, professional, and quality service is delivered to clients.
- Apply the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's Policies.
- Manage trainee, assistant, and graduate colleagues, including undertaking performance and development reviews and mentoring/coaching less experienced colleagues.
- Thorough understanding of construction forms and techniques, including construction costs, and ability to knowledgeably advise clients.
- Strong customer management skills, including managing expectations.
- Strong JCT and/or NEC contract experience.
- Detailed understanding of methods/rule of measurement and experience with appropriate electronic measurement and cost planning software packages.
- Effective people management skills, including training and mentoring less experienced members of staff.
