Student Support and Wellbeing Manager Role

About the Opportunity
The Student Support and Wellbeing Manager (Mental Health and Wellbeing) is a leadership role that oversees the mental health and wellbeing support provision for UCL students. As a key member of the Student Support and Wellbeing team, you will be responsible for managing a skilled group of professionals who deliver non-therapeutic support, provide advice and guidance to students, and respond to student of concern matters within the UCL community.
This position requires a thorough understanding of the Higher Education sector, particularly in student services management and administration. You will have expertise in SFE and Research Councils' Disabled Student Allowance processes and a comprehensive knowledge of disability and equality legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the student/client relationship with excellent people management skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate best practice in safeguarding and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in Student Support and Wellbeing and across the UCL community to promote inclusive practice, disability, and wellbeing issues

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Substantial knowledge of the Higher Education sector, particularly in student services management and administration
- Expertise in SFE and Research Councils' Disabled Student Allowance processes
- A comprehensive knowledge of disability and equality legislation
- Excellent people management skills and interpersonal skills
- A full understanding of and ability to demonstrate best practice in safeguarding
