Critical Data Centre Maintenance Role

Location: Slough

Salary: £47,000 plus 10% Bonus

Hours: Days Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Critical Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a Data Centre Site in Slough. The successful candidate will work a Continental Shift and receive a competitive salary of £47,000 plus a 10% Annual Bonus. Overtime is available, and there are opportunities for career progression within the company.

Duties:

  1. Ensure environmental conditions are maintained at all times together with 100% uptime of all M&E critical building systems.
  2. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems as a member of the 24/7 on-site team at the Data Centre.
  3. Carry out daily emergency callout tasks.
  4. Monitor the Data Centre environments for changes in condition, identify the cause, and provide reports to the Team and Customer on the cause and effect.
  5. Assist in ensuring 100% uptime of Customer Data Centres.
  6. Support contractor/engineer's activities such as isolations, connections, work permits, etc., where required.
  7. Maintain systems and assets in a data-driven environment, using new digital tools and platforms (training will be provided). Must be flexible and embrace new and emerging technology and techniques.
  8. Complete logbooks and RAMS.
  9. Attend client meetings.
  10. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, LV systems, including the ability to fault find.

Requirements:

  1. Trade trained with ideally 3 years' experience in the building services.
  2. City & Guilds Mechanical or Plumbing discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
  3. Willing to be Authorised as Mechanical AP on site.
  4. Experience in a critical site (Data Centre or Banking Sites).
