Pet Food Manufacturing Team Lead

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Pet Food Manufacturing team at our Kinmel plant.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a 24/7 team of operators in the Bakery Packing department, ensuring products are packed to agreed standards and production plans are met while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver area productivity and efficiency targets to pack goods in line with the agreed production plan
- Monitor and review labour deployment to ensure alignment with production requirements
- Effectively communicate with the operations team, report progress against plan, and highlight any risks to achieving volumes and standards
- Monitor the effectiveness of machinery and equipment to ensure performance consistency and reliability
- Promote a safe culture within the department, complying with procedures and accident investigation
- Review operational trends and identify opportunities for sustainable improvements in quality, performance, and profit
- Monitor and review team capability, ensuring all colleagues are focused on key objectives and developed to maximise their potential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience of leading teams in a complex manufacturing environment
- A good standard of education, with good literacy and numerical skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Advanced Food Hygiene Accreditation, HACCP Level 2 Qualification, and IOSH Level 2 are desirable
