Housing Support Specialist

Vetro Recruitment is actively seeking a Housing Support Specialist to work with a national homelessness charity in Ammanford. The organisation provides support to individuals to develop life skills so they can maintain a tenancy within the community.
The role involves providing social, emotional, and practical support to people experiencing challenges with their mental health and emotional well-being that could impact their ability to maintain a stable tenancy.
You will be responsible for providing practical support regarding benefits & claims, housing options, and third-party agencies.
This role requires experience as a supported housing support worker and knowledge of current welfare and housing benefits.
Key responsibilities include caseload management, working knowledge of the current benefits system, and experience working within the mental health sector and/or supporting people experiencing emotional distress.
In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of safeguarding for adults, and self-awareness with a willingness to engage in reflective practice and ongoing personal development.
Vetro Recruitment offers competitive rates of pay, weekly pay, and no payroll charges. You will also have access to a variety of work in different social care and healthcare settings, a Vetro Mobile Booking App for communicating shift availability, and free online training and subsidised practical training.
The estimated salary for this role is £12.81 per hour, which includes holiday pay. This translates to approximately £25,930 - £30,270 per annum based on a 40-hour week.
