Job Description

Job Title: Head of Operations

Salary: £70k+, car allowance and 12.5% Performance based bonus (Commensurate with skills and experience)

As a key member of the BAE Systems team, you will play a critical role in the setup and operation of our new manufacturing facility in Sheffield. Your expertise in manufacturing operations will be instrumental in implementing best practices and processes to drive efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the new production site, enabling the business to restart manufacturing of our products in the UK.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the operating strategy, working in partnership with business service teams and programme teams to ensure alignment and drive performance.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex issues and act as a best practice/quality expert within and outside your discipline.
  • Set policy and ensure delivery within your area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organisation.
  • Deploy resources, detailed planning and preparation of work packages.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to use your manufacturing expertise to set up a brand-new facility and drive the delivery of complex systems. You will be part of the Weapon Systems UK team, which designs, builds, and supports artillery systems and naval guns used across the world.
