About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a volunteer to support music-based activities for people living with dementia in Reddich. This role offers a chance to contribute positively to your local community and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Singing for the Brain sessions are specifically designed to cater to the needs of individuals with dementia, providing a safe and supportive space for them to engage with music.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a team that works together to ensure the success of these sessions. Your tasks will include greeting participants, encouraging their participation, and assisting the session coordinator as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A compassionate individual who is willing to develop strong relationships with people affected by dementia.
  • A creative person who is interested in exploring ways to enable individuals with dementia to express themselves through music.
  • Someone with basic computer skills and confidence using video conferencing tools (for virtual sessions).
  • No prior experience of dementia or professional singing is necessary.

  • This volunteer opportunity is located in Redditch.
  • Hourly remuneration: £9.
