Role Summary

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Optimisation Specialist to join our client's fibre optics production team in Torquay, Devon.

This role is crucial in driving efficiency and improving product quality through the analysis of production data and the implementation of continuous improvement strategies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), identifying areas for cost reduction, and collaborating with procurement and design teams to optimise materials and processes.

  • BOM Management: Accurately track material use, production processes, and yield data for precise cost forecasting.
  • Cost Analysis: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement changes to improve efficiency.
  • Yield Improvement: Analyse production data to reduce scrap rates and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
What We Offer

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 6% company pension contribution, and a performance-based bonus scheme.
