We are a leading manufacturer of quality products, and we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $45,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain our Quality Management System and site standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality culture activities and provide quality SHEQ inductions for new staff members.
  • Conduct visual inspections and perform functional quality checks at all stages of production to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and log non-conformities to inform corrective actions.
  • Inspect and maintain production samples to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and reviewing production documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the Compliance Manager in evaluating supplier and customer approvals to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Compile and maintain detailed product specifications to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to investigate and identify root cause analysis/corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with our traceability system and product recalls/withdrawals to minimize disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate as an integral member of the Hazard and Risk Analysis (HACCP) team to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Support the Compliance Manager in preparing for external audits to ensure readiness and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Knowledge of the BRCGS packaging materials Standard is advantageous but not essential.
  • GCSE Level (A-C) or Equivalent (Maths & English) is required.
  • HACCP qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Trained internal auditor is beneficial but not essential.

  • Detailed eye for spotting quality defects and ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and objective decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and report writing skills.
  • Proficient IT Literacy, with expertise in MS Office.
