About the Opportunity:

We are excited to offer a Behaviour Assistant position at a wonderful primary school in Streatham, London SW16. The school is looking for an outgoing individual to support younger students who showcase difficult behaviour or require additional assistance on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with teachers to develop effective behaviour management plans.
  • To deliver bespoke support to students, improving their behaviour and academic performance.
  • To set and track learning targets, promoting progress and achievement.
  • To motivate and challenge students, promoting self-esteem and improving overall behaviour.
  • To provide valuable feedback and advice to students, serving as a role model and reporting back to parents/carers.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and resilience skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and able to remain positive in challenging situations.
  • Prior experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in Education Studies or related fields are desirable.

Estimated Salary: £95-£105 per annum.
