About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Carlingford Lodge Care Home. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
