We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ecologist to join our team at INCA Ltd (Industry Nature Conservation Association Ltd). As a leading ecological organisation, we are committed to ensuring the long-term conservation of the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire landscapes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in ecological fieldwork, including experience with protected species and habitats, such as UK Habs, BNG, and HRA. They will also have a sound understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation.

• Lead ecological projects through planning and completion
• Conduct Habitat Regulations Assessments and UK Habitats classifications for BNG
• Deal with designated sites legislation
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry, regulators, and local environmental organisations
• Write concise, high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM guidelines

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
• Good ecological field skills covering a range of protected species and habitats
• A sound understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation
• The ability to write concise, high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM guidelines
• Experience in Habitats Regulations Assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain
• Experience of writing fee proposals, project management, and client liaison
• Good commercial awareness
• BSBI FISC (Level 3 or above)
