We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ecologist to join our team at INCA Ltd (Industry Nature Conservation Association Ltd). As a leading ecological organisation, we are committed to ensuring the long-term conservation of the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire landscapes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in ecological fieldwork, including experience with protected species and habitats, such as UK Habs, BNG, and HRA. They will also have a sound understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead ecological projects through planning and completion
- Conduct Habitat Regulations Assessments and UK Habitats classifications for BNG
- Deal with designated sites legislation
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry, regulators, and local environmental organisations
- Write concise, high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
- Good ecological field skills covering a range of protected species and habitats
- A sound understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation
- The ability to write concise, high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM guidelines
- Experience in Habitats Regulations Assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain
- Experience of writing fee proposals, project management, and client liaison
- Good commercial awareness
- BSBI FISC (Level 3 or above)
