Job Description

At Home Instead, we offer bespoke care services to help our clients remain safe and comfortable within their own home. Our care visits are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, and may include:

  • Building a professional and friendly relationship with our client, their family, friends, and others involved in their health and wellbeing.
  • Personal care, including support with washing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Companionship, including conversation and good company, as well as assistance with writing letters and enjoying a chat.
  • Activities, such as accompanying clients to outings, social events, and encouraging hobbies and pastimes.
  • Meal preparation and cooking, including rediscovering favourite family recipes.
  • Medication management, including collecting prescriptions and medication reminders.
  • Home help, including light housekeeping to ensure the client's home is safe, tidy, and spotless.
  • Shopping, running errands, and accompanying clients to appointments.

Qualifications

We value a kind and compassionate heart above all else. We provide full, paid training for all our Care Professionals as standard, and welcome any previous care or personal experience.

We match our Care Professionals to nearby clients, and require a driver's license, access to a car, and a minimum age of 18.

Additional Information

All our visits are a minimum of 1 hour, allowing plenty of time to complete tasks and get to know our clients. We believe in proper person-centred care, and match our Care Professionals to clients based on mutual interests and hobbies.

We offer a range of contract options, including zero hour and average hour contracts. Our starting pay is £11.50 per hour, Monday to Friday, and £12.50 on weekends, with double pay on public holidays. We also offer paid mileage, travel, and waiting time, as well as a variety of hours to fit around any schedule.

We provide fully paid, comprehensive training, with opportunities for additional courses and NVQs as you work. You'll also receive full on-the-job support from your care management team, and free access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
