Maths Teacher Job Opportunity

Reed Education is a leading provider of whole-school recruitment services to secondary schools across Cumbria and Lancashire. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Maths Teacher to join a school in South Cumbria on a long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and informative Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials based on the curriculum requirements.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences.
  • Participate in school meetings and events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4; experience at Key Stage 5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model displaying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with students.
