Job Title: Nurse - Children's Health Specialist
Job Summary:
Te Puawaitanga Ki Ōtautahi Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team in delivering the Tamariki Ora/Well Child service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of pepi, tamariki, and their whānau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Tamariki Ora/Well Child service with a strengths-based, whānau-centred, and mana-enhancing approach.
- Work collaboratively with whānau to identify and address their health and wellbeing needs.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans that promote the health and wellbeing of pepi, tamariki, and their whānau.
- Provide education and support to whānau on health and wellbeing topics, including nutrition, physical activity, and mental health.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with whānau from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and coordination.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of hauora.
