We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Secondary Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Sociology and the ability to inspire students to achieve their academic potential.

This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to develop the Social Science curriculum.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality Sociology lessons for students in Key Stage 4 and 5.
  2. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and intervention.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Social Science curriculum.
  4. Provide a positive and nurturing environment supporting students' personal and academic development.
  5. Participate in extracurricular activities and wider community initiatives.

Person Specification:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. A degree in Sociology or a related subject.
  3. Experience teaching Sociology, ideally at both Key Stage 4 and 5.
  4. The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
  5. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Earn an estimated £45,000 - £65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Teaching Personnel values the skills and dedication of our educators.
