Job Summary:
  • Design and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Curriculum Development: Design and deliver captivating history lessons, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  2. Classroom Management: Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, historical analysis, and an appreciation for the past.
  3. Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in History or a closely related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.
Remuneration and Benefits:
  • A competitive salary, estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), depending on experience.
