Clinical Practitioner Psychologist Position in South Cumbria

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our clinical team at Outcomes First Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for adults with complex needs.

The post is located within South Cumbria and involves travel between three adult homes. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and an Assistant Psychologist.

Essential Criteria:
  1. Post-graduate doctoral level qualification in Psychology (clinical, counselling, forensic)
  2. Registered with the HCPC and BPS
  3. Experience in supervising Assistant Psychologists
  4. Experience of working with children and adults who have an intellectual disability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviours of concern)
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  6. Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
  7. Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  8. Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults and children
  9. Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
  10. Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement assessment and intervention plans for adults with complex needs
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and planning sessions
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and provide guidance and support
  • Collaborate with external agencies and partners to achieve positive outcomes for service users

Estimated Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a welcome bonus and relocation package. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, including life assurance, pension scheme, and wellbeing support.
