Estimator Role Overview

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our construction team. As the Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing project specifications and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities from drawings, specifications, and schedules of finishes
  • Prepare analytical estimates using subcontract quotations as a check
  • Calculate site management and preliminary costs
  • Participate in final negotiations

Requirements:

  • Experience in the fit-out or interiors industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Conquest or similar estimating software is preferred.
