About the Role

The NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to fill the position of Senior Quality Assurance Pharmacist at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with aseptic experience to expand their knowledge in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, tracer radiolabelling, and radiopharmaceutical quality control techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the department's Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS), with a particular focus on PET radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Support the radiopharmacy team with day-to-day operations, including dispensing and quality control of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Perform autologous radio-cell labelling's and support the provision of an in-vitro laboratory service.
  • Act as an IR(ME)R Entitled Authorised Pharmacist on a daily basis and deputise for the accountable pharmacist in their absence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmacy Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate Diploma/MSc or equivalent advanced professional practice knowledge, training, and experience.
  • Flexible approach to work and availability to start work at 07:00.

What We Offer

  • Support through the Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) diploma (subject to availability of spaces on the course).
  • 37 hours per week over a 5-day week, with no on-call or weekend working.
