**Job Title:** Mechanical Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering aspects of water infrastructure projects from initial design to installation and commissioning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of water infrastructure projects from initial design to installation and commissioning.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure the integration of mechanical systems across all project stages.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot any mechanical engineering issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and health & safety protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports, project documentation, and progress updates to stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably within the water sector or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, design principles, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering) and professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with the Southern Water Framework or similar utility projects is an advantage.
