About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary Oncology team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with lung cancer and other respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with pulmonary oncology and respiratory conditions, including administering medications, completing risk assessments, and facilitating timely discharges.
  • Work collaboratively with medical and specialist teams to devise holistic patient-led plans of care and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Current Full NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing studies.
  • Experience of working in a pulmonary oncology or respiratory medicine setting, with a strong understanding of clinical audit and quality improvement principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to supervise and support junior staff and students, with a strong commitment to education and training.
