Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operational Excellence in GMP Facilities to lead our team at King's College London. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee the Supply Chain and Facility Management function, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with GMP regulations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Supply Chain and Facility Management function, ensuring the facility is operational and compliant with GMP regulations. They will lead a team of GMP technical specialists and facility management specialists, providing guidance and support as needed. Key responsibilities include overseeing facility maintenance, environmental monitoring, procurement, and material management activities, as well as developing and implementing procedures to ensure quality and compliance within the function.

Key Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant science, engineering, or life science discipline.
  • Extensive experience working in commercial organisations within GMP Pharma/Biotech/Contract Manufacturing organisation (CMO) sectors.
  • Extensive experience with facility and equipment management.
  • Significant experience in supply chain/material management and knowledge of supply assurance and management.
  • Extensive experience qualification of GMP facilities and equipment.
  • Extensive experience of managing change through GMP change control system.
  • Significant experience of building and leading a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage through influence and negotiation in a complex environment.
  • High level of work organisation, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude.
Salary Information

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £80,000 and £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
