We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our Structural Steelwork Fabrication business. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring workloads run smoothly and efficiently.

You will work closely with our team to plan and coordinate workloads as they progress through the fabrication workshop, interpret and review fabrication drawings, and liaise with the wider management team to manage and progress workloads.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steelwork, excellent communication skills, and the ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.

As a Production Manager with Steel Connexions Ltd, you will be part of a supportive and friendly environment, with a robust employer and a healthy order book.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Plan and coordinate workloads as they progress through the fabrication workshop
  2. Interpret and review fabrication drawings prior to production
  3. Liaise with the wider management team to manage and progress workloads
  4. Attend daily production meetings
  5. Ensure housekeeping standards are always maintained
  6. Monitor and audit tool costs, performance, and stock levels

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Experience and understanding of structural steelwork
  2. Must be computer literate
  3. Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Strong planning and organisational skills
  6. Proven experience of managing a team
